Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you visit, the hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, in server logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are kept only as long as needed for this purpose.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we process the details you enter (name, institution, email address, country, your message and the role you select) to answer your inquiry. Together with them, we transmit the address of the page you sent the form from and your IP address. The data is transmitted to and stored in HubSpot, our customer relationship management system, operated by HubSpot Inc. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by ticking the consent box. To keep automated spam out, the form also checks how quickly it was filled in and whether a field hidden from people was filled; these checks store nothing. The legal basis for the IP address and the spam checks is our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future by writing to info@sphaira.com. We keep the data until your inquiry is closed, unless a business relationship follows or statutory retention periods apply.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Visits are counted in aggregate without identifying individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Embedded video
The MOBY film is embedded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) using the privacy-enhanced mode on youtube-nocookie.com. No connection to YouTube is made until you click to play the video. Once you play it, YouTube may process your IP address and set cookies under its own responsibility. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
